Job Summary

We are looking for a SAP ABAP Consultant with 1-2 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development and support. The candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, testing, and supporting SAP applications using ABAP and ABAP Objects.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of core ABAP development concepts, experience with RICEF objects, and the ability to work closely with functional consultants and business teams to deliver reliable SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP ABAP Development

• Develop, modify, and maintain SAP applications using ABAP and ABAP Objects (ABAP OO).
• Develop and enhance Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms (RICEF).
• Work on Classical Reports, Interactive Reports, and ALV Reports.
• Develop and modify SmartForms, SAP Scripts, and Adobe Forms.
• Develop and maintain Function Modules, BAPIs, RFCs, and IDOCs.

2. Enhancements & Custom Development

• Work on User Exits, Customer Exits, BAdIs, and Enhancement Framework.
• Perform modifications and enhancements to existing SAP programs.
• Work on basic Module Pool/Dialog Programming.
• Analyze and optimize ABAP programs for better performance.

3. SAP Integration & Support

• Collaborate with functional consultants across modules such as MM, SD, FI/CO, PP, and HR.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, bug fixing, and maintenance for SAP applications.
• Participate in unit testing, system testing, UAT, and deployment activities.
• Analyze production issues and provide appropriate technical solutions.

4. Technical Documentation

• Prepare and maintain technical specifications, program documentation, and test documentation.
• Follow SAP development standards, coding guidelines, and best practices.
• Ensure proper transport and deployment processes are followed.

Required Technical Skills

• 1-2 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Strong knowledge of SAP ABAP programming.
• Good understanding of ABAP Objects / ABAP OO.
• Experience with:

• Good knowledge of SAP Data Dictionary (DDIC) including:
• Tables
• Structures
• Views
• Data Elements

• Search Helps

• Basic to good knowledge of BAPI, RFC, IDOC, and Function Modules.
• Experience with SmartForms / SAP Scripts / Adobe Forms.
• Knowledge of User Exits, BAdIs, and Enhancement Framework.
• Basic understanding of Module Pool/Dialog Programming.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of SAP HANA, CDS Views, or AMDP.
• Exposure to OData and SAP Fiori integration.
• Basic understanding of SAP Workflow.
• Experience working on S/4HANA implementation or migration projects.
• SAP ABAP certification is an added advantage.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• SAP ABAP certification or relevant SAP training will be an advantage.
