Summary: International Paper is the global leader in sustainable packaging solutions, and they are seeking a Financial Analyst for their Bogalusa Mill. The role involves interacting with mill operations personnel, performing routine financial assignments, analyzing business results, and developing budgets and forecasts. Responsibilities: - Actively participate as a member of a business unit - Review/analyze key performance measures and variances - Develop the annual budget and assure that cost information is accurate - Monthly reporting and communication of financial performance against objectives - Ensure accurate and timely financial and operating statistical information for the identification of potential business problems and opportunities - Ensure compliance of efficient and effective internal controls on all transactions of company assets and interests, including legal, state and local taxes and insurance claims - Ensure that the facility maintains accurate books and records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and that the business is conducted in compliance with established corporate, sector and division policies, procedures and practices - Lead cost reduction initiatives within the finance business unit and the mill - Develop tools that increase visibility of process impacts on mill financial performance and increase accuracy of monthly forecasting - Serve as primary backup for various other functions across the finance department Required Qualifications: - Education – bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or accounting Preferred Qualifications: - Excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to work effectively with others - Skilled using spreadsheet programs (Microsoft Excel) and other data visualization tools Required Skills: Financial analysis, Budget development, Spreadsheet proficiency Important Skills: Data visualization tools Benefits: Medical, Dental, Life insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, Short-term and Long-term Disability, 401(k), Company-funded retirement contributions, Paid Time Off, Education & Development (including Tuition Reimbursement), Student Loan Repayment Assistance, Voluntary Benefits including insurance for home, auto, vision and pets
