Piling Mechanical Specialist at INTELTEC EMIRATES LLC in Abu Dhabi

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Equipment Maintenance and Repair

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on piling rigs, hydraulic hammers, rotary drilling rigs, vibratory hammers, cranes, power packs, and auxiliary equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and transmission system faults.
• Overhaul engines, gearboxes, winches, rotary heads, hydraulic pumps, cylinders, and motors.
• Conduct periodic inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failures.

2. Mechanical Troubleshooting

• Investigate equipment breakdowns and determine root causes.
• Implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and maintenance records to improve equipment reliability.
• Coordinate emergency repairs during critical piling operations.

3. Equipment Assembly and Commissioning

• Supervise the assembly, dismantling, and commissioning of piling equipment.
• Ensure all mechanical components are installed according to manufacturer specifications.
• Conduct operational testing and performance verification before equipment deployment.

4. Safety Compliance

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with HSE policies, company procedures, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) before maintenance tasks.
• Verify machinery safety devices, guards, emergency stop systems, and lifting components are functional.
• Promote safe work practices within the maintenance team.

5. Inspection and Monitoring

• Monitor equipment condition and performance indicators.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of piling machinery.
• Inspect wire ropes, pulleys, winches, hydraulic hoses, slew rings, rotary drives, and structural components.
• Report defects and recommend corrective actions.

6. Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and inspection records.
• Prepare service reports, breakdown reports, and spare parts requirements.
• Update maintenance schedules and equipment history records.
• Assist in developing maintenance procedures and work instructions.

7. Spare Parts Management

• Identify and requisition spare parts and consumables.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure critical spares are available.
• Verify quality and suitability of replacement parts.
• Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams for parts sourcing.

8. Operational Support

• Provide technical support to piling operators and site supervisors.
• Assist in optimizing machine performance and operational efficiency.
• Support mobilization and demobilization of piling equipment.
• Ensure equipment availability meets project requirements.

9. Team Leadership and Training

• Guide mechanics and technicians during maintenance activities.
• Provide technical training and mentoring on piling equipment systems.
• Promote continuous improvement in maintenance practices.
• Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and technical representatives when necessary.

Required Competencies

• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings, hydraulic schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Experience with foundation and piling equipment maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Good understanding of HSE requirements in heavy construction environments.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Objective of the Position:
To ensure piling and foundation equipment remains safe, reliable, and fully operational through effective maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and technical support, thereby maximizing productivity and minimizing equipment downtime on construction projects.

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED6,500.00 per month
