Job Description
Summary: Intelliforce is a company delivering mission-ready engineering solutions that support national security operations. As a Junior DevOps / Platform Engineer, you will help build and sustain infrastructure for advanced analytics and applications, focusing on automation, system resilience, and performance in secure environments.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting containerized platforms and deployment pipelines that keep mission systems running smoothly
- Troubleshooting a Kubernetes deployment issue or optimizing cluster performance
- Writing automation scripts
- Assisting with CI/CD improvements
- Coordinating with developers to roll out new releases
- Monitoring system health
- Responding to production alerts
- Documenting processes so the team can operate efficiently and consistently
Required Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, plus relevant experience supporting IT systems or infrastructure. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized environments (RKE2 preferred)
- Experience deploying and managing Docker containers
- Proficiency with Bash scripting and Unix/Linux systems
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and automated deployment pipelines
- Ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively with development teams and stakeholders
- Willingness to participate in on-call support for production environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals
- Experience with monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack
- Prior experience supporting production infrastructure in secure environments
