The Role and Impact
As a Facilities Chemical and Gas Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of Intel's high-volume manufacturing facilities. By maintaining and operating the chemical and gas delivery systems, you will contribute to the efficiency, reliability, and safety of our manufacturing processes. Your expertise will help us meet our stringent semiconductor purity requirements, enabling innovation and shaping the future of technology. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain chemical and gas delivery systems that support high-volume manufacturing facilities.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on chemical, solvent, and gas systems.
- Utilize quality systems to diagnose process issues and interpret data related to chemical and gas delivery.
- Maintain analytical equipment and create statistical reports to support Preventative Excursion Management Systems.
- Use Maximo maintenance planning software to schedule and track maintenance activities.
- Analyze and diagnose data using Cimplicity software to ensure system integrity.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with factory teams, customers, and other stakeholders across diverse organizations.
- Role model safety by following all procedural requirements for handling hazardous production materials.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Operating Objectives (SOOs) for chemical and gas systems.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Apprenticeship in Mechanical Fitting, Plumbing, Electrical, or a related field.
- NCEA Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent. Minimum qualification: FETAC level 6.
- Proficiency in using Maximo maintenance planning software.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs. and work ergonomically within confined spaces.
- Capability to perform job duties while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team or as an individual contributor in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with chemical nomenclature and gases used in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Proven experience troubleshooting electrical systems, mechanical components, pumps, valves, and PLC control logic.
- Certification or experience operating Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Strong focus on safety and adherence to protocols.
