Insurance Representative 1 (Permanent, Fulltime), Quesnel Branch

INSURANCE REPRESENTATIVE 1 (PERMANENT, FULLTIME), QUESNEL BRANCH Integris Insurance Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Coastal Community Credit Union is looking for a permanent, full-time Insurance Representative 1 to join the team at our Quesnel Branch! This role will primarily focus on ICBC Autoplan services and will serve as a front-line, member-facing position. Responsibilities will include processing ICBC transactions, assisting members with vehicle insurance needs, handling policy renewals and changes, and providing exceptional customer service at the branch. We take pride in our work and are always looking for individuals who share our enthusiasm and motivation.  SALARY RANGE • Salary range for Insurance Representative 1: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour. • Salary range for Insurance Trainee: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour TOTAL REWARDS We provide employees with a comprehensive compensation package beyond the base salary, including:  • Employer paid pension plan • Generous paid time off options to foster work-life-family balance  • Extended health & dental benefits  • Time off for Volunteering • Vision Care   • Short-term and Long-term disability insurance KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Member Service: • Assist members and the public in identifying insurance needs and respond to inquiries about products and services • Process basic auto insurance transactions under supervision and handle payments • Investigate and resolve account issues and refer complex matters as needed • Balance daily cash and schedule appointments for staff • Support auto insurance products, including accident benefits and coverage options • Process licensing transactions such as registrations and ownership transfers • Assist with ICBC batching and personal lines policies, including renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and changes Sales & Service: • Identify client needs and recommend appropriate insurance products • Cross-sell additional products and promote credit union services • Provide referrals to team members when needed • Meet established sales and referral goals Administrative Support: • Post payments and assist with deposits • Maintain records, files, and inventory (e.g., license plates and materials) • Order supplies as needed and support branch organization and appearance Teamwork: • Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive work environment • Build and maintain strong working relationships & Other duties as assigned TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & APPLICATIONS • ICBC • Applied Systems • EPIC • Basic Word & Excel • E-mail EDUCATION & LICENSE REQUIREMENT • CAIB 1 or Fundamentals of Insurance preferred • Level 1 License and Completion of Autoplan Essentials course within 6 months of hire is required We welcome applicants new to the insurance industry who are willing to obtain insurance licensing and want to pursue a career as an insurance professional, and we're prepared to provide the required training for candidates.
