Summary: Integral Ad Science (IAS) is a global technology and data company that builds verification, optimization, and analytics solutions for the advertising industry. They are seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join their Developer Experience team, where the intern will help build software, implement best practices, and enhance the development process. The role involves writing code and collaborating with senior engineers on tooling and infrastructure. Responsibilities: - Develop features and write integrations for our internal developer portal, built on the Backstage framework - Work on an internal Slack bot, bringing back much-loved features from a former iteration (and potentially, extending them into the future) - Write code mostly in Typescript (React), with some Python - You’ll also work with Redis, Helm, Kubernetes, and AWS - Our internal tooling code is mostly Groovy, shell scripts, and Python - Gain experience developing, debugging and testing features both locally and in cloud-based environments - Learn to sleuth! Have ownership of assigned tasks and projects, evaluate alternatives, proactively tackle problems, and suggest resolutions.
