General Manager, Oceania at INNERGY in Sydney, NSW, au

Company Description

Woodworkers build things that last. We build the software that helps them do it.

INNERGY is cloud ERP made for custom manufacturers: the shops behind architectural millwork, cabinetry, and casework. Since 2016, we’ve grown into a global team of 200+ people who would rather fix a real problem than polish a slide about one. With Microvellum now part of the family, we’re connecting design, engineering, production, and delivery in one platform, and the next chapter is being written right now.

Your work here won’t disappear into a queue. It will show up in how custom shops run their day.\

Job Description

As General Manager, Oceania, you run the region like it's your business. You own the strategy, the customers and the commercial results across Australia and New Zealand, and you report directly to our CEO.

This is a matrix role. The Sales, Account Management, Marketing, Customer Success and Support people serving Oceania report solid-line to their global functional leaders and dotted-line to you. You set the regional agenda and deliver it through influence and credibility, not the org chart.

What you'll own

Commercial

• Own the Oceania number: new business, expansion and retention

• Set regional strategy, the operating plan and segment focus; decide which parts of the AU/NZ joinery market we serve and which we don't

• Own the regional budget and deliver a forecast leadership can plan against

• Own regional contribution margin: revenue, direct costs and the local cost base

Operational

• Build and run the regional operating rhythm: pipeline reviews, account planning, escalation handling, and the cadence that keeps four functions aligned

• In partnership with Sales leadership, drive pipeline health, forecast accuracy and deal strategy on the deals that matter

• Drive time-to-value, adoption, renewal and support quality for every AU/NZ customer

• Solve the time zone gap between our regional customers and US-based support

People and influence

• Shape hiring profiles, take part in recruiting, interviewing and hiring regional teammates, and contribute to performance conversations alongside functional managers

• Earn the trust and cooperation of global functional leaders, and escalate cleanly when alignment fails

• Build what it means to work at INNERGY in this market

Market and company

• Represent INNERGY in-region: education, associations, industry events, partnerships and the local narrative

• Be Oceania's voice into product and leadership on what's different here and what we need to win

Qualifications

• 10+ years in B2B software, owning a regional or business-unit number across both new business and retention

• A track record of delivering results through a matrix, with people you didn't directly manage

• Ownership of a budget and contribution margin, plus a forecast leadership relied on

• Fluency in SaaS metrics: ARR, net revenue retention, pipeline coverage, forecast accuracy, time-to-value

• Credibility with shop owners and executives alike, and comfort being INNERGY's public face in-region

• Based in Australia or New Zealand, with the flexibility to overlap with US working hours on a regular schedule

Bonus points

• Software for joinery, cabinetry, architectural woodworking, manufacturing or construction

• ERP, CAD/CAM or vertical SaaS experience

• An established AU/NZ network across industry associations, education bodies and partners

• Experience in a PE-backed company, including sponsor reporting

• Experience running customer support or success across time zones

Additional Information

Why INNERGY

We hire for how people show up, not just what’s on the resume. Here’s what that looks like day to day:

• Voice of the Customer. It starts and ends with the woodworker. We build for the people running the saws.
• Education. We listen, learn, and teach. Curiosity is part of the job description.
• Agile as Hell. Fast improvement beats delayed perfection. Try it, learn, ship the better version.
• Transparency. We share what we know, say the hard thing kindly, and earn trust the honest way.
• Problem/Solution. We run toward problems, not around them.
• Quality. We deliver as if we’re the ones on the receiving end.
