About the role

IndustriAI is building a proprietary AI-native investment platform for non-operated oil & gas investing, expanding into other mineral and energy assets. It's an internal tool — our competitive edge, not a product for sale. Working prototypes exist and development is well underway; you'll help shape the design and drive the system to maturity.

You'll be the senior technical owner of the platform: a player-coach who sets the architecture, leads a small team, and stays in the code.

What you'll build

Agentic data acquisition: pipelines and agents pulling ownership/title, production, regulatory, permit, and geological data from public and commercial sources
ML models for high-grading assets: screening and ranking opportunities by geology, well economics, and operator quality
Valuation and pricing models for non-op participation decisions
LLM-based intelligence for regulatory, legal, land, and title analysis

What we're looking for

You've personally built a complete data-to-decision system — ingestion, database, models, application — not just one layer of it
Judgment about when to use an LLM vs. a pipeline vs. a trained model, and the rigor to validate outputs that inform real investment decisions
Solid stats/ML foundation (forecasting, ranking, probabilistic modeling)
Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, and agent frameworks (LangGraph or similar)
7+ years in software/ML engineering; experience leading or mentoring engineers
Oil & gas familiarity is a plus, not a requirement
