Job Summary:
Provides preventive and corrective maintenance for diagnostic imaging medical equipment. May also provide maintenance services to
other biomedical equipment. Performs work duties with minimal supervision. This position provides support for multiple sites within the
Health System.
Education
Minimum:
Associate Degree in a related field or military equivalent
Preferred:
Specialized training in Vascular Labs, MRI, CT, Nuclear Med, Ultrasound, etc.
Registration/Certification/Licensure:
Valid driver’s license and maintain eligibility to be insured under the Health Systems motor vehicle liability insurance. Preferred: ICC/AAMI
certification.
Experience
Minimum:
Five years’ experience servicing a variety of medical imaging equipment (i.e. digital radiography, nuclear medicine, ultrasound,
CT, MRI, vascular systems). Proficient in MS Office applications.
Preferred:
OEM-specific training on medical imaging equipment.
Other Requirements:
Must have current understanding of regulatory agencies’ laws, standards, and regulations.

I. Specific Job Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
1. Performs repair and maintenance primarily on general imaging equipment, such as X-Ray units, Portable X-ray units, Fluoroscopy Systems, CR
units, and Mammography units, Ultrasound systems and intermediate imaging equipment, such as Digital Radiography units, basic CT, MRI,
basic oncology and vascular/specials systems . May also provide repair and maintenance of general biomedical equipment as secondary
responsibility or as assigned.
2. Seeks training opportunities to improve service portfolio and reduce OEM and third party service contracts for medical imaging equipment.
3. Assists in the ordering of parts and supplies necessary for the maintenance of medical imaging equipment. Completes all necessary record
keeping for work orders received and completed.
4. Responsible for follow-through on medical imaging equipment alerts/recalls and documents the remedial activities via work order in the asset
management system.
5. Performs other duties as assigned by the Clinical Engineering Manager.
