Summary: Impinj is a leading RAIN RFID provider and Internet of Things pioneer. The Communication Systems Engineering Intern will work closely with hardware, software, and test engineering teams to develop methods for improving signal detection while working on the Impinj R700 RAIN RFID reader. Responsibilities: - Characterize RF System performance of the Impinj R700 under various operating points - Implement test and analysis tools using Python - Design and test a signal detection mechanism for improved reader performance Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field - 1-3+ years of relevant coursework in Linear Systems, Probability, Digital Communications, and/or Digital Signal Processing - Experience programming, scripting, and analysis in languages like MATLAB, Python, or C - Clear communication skills and ability to document technical information for a variety of intended audiences Required Skills: Signal Processing, Python Important Skills: MATLAB, Digital Communications Nice-to-Have Skills: Clear Communication Benefits: Healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan and company match
