Summary: IMEG is a 100% employee-owned firm focused on designing advanced automation and control systems. The Controls Engineering Intern will collaborate with engineers, gain hands-on experience in design and onsite system commissioning, and support various project tasks. Responsibilities: - Assist in designing discipline-specific systems per code and IMEG standards - Produce control documents, including IO lists, connection schedules, loop drawings, and schematics - Support client relations, maintain project design notebooks, and prepare permanent record documentation - Coordinate design and schedules with other disciplines and suppliers - Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while tracking progress - Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before final checks - Prepare and issue addendum information - Conduct job site observations and perform services per contract requirements Required Qualifications: - Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required - Strong interest in design consulting - Previous exposure to AutoCAD Electrical software - Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook - Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups - This position is not eligible for sponsorship Preferred Qualifications: - Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred Required Skills: AutoCAD Electrical, MS Office Suite, PLC programming, SCADA programming Benefits: Generous PTO, Flexible schedule, Assistance with tuition reimbursement, Health, dental, vision, and life insurance
