Summary: IMC Markets is a global trading firm seeking a Systems Engineer to maintain and enhance their trading systems. The role involves managing high-volume data flows, ensuring system stability and performance, and coordinating software changes to improve trading strategies and infrastructure. Responsibilities: - The Systems Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining and perfecting IMC’s trading systems - The Systems Engineer will work as part of a highly experienced team, facing the daily challenge of managing a critical, high-volume data flow in a complex trading environment distributed over a high-speed data infrastructure; will be exposed to many technical and trading challenges while ensuring high availability, stability, and performance of the end-to-end environment; focus on system administration; network troubleshooting; database tuning; development; release management; and performance engineering - Provide continuity and stability in IMC’s production environment and quick responses to production issues to minimize down time and ensure high availability and performance of our trading platform - Coordinate, prioritize, and plan the changes to our trading software thereby ensuring smooth exchange migrations, quick time to market for new features and software - Contribute towards improving the trading strategy as well as the trading infrastructure - Translate trading requests into concrete technical requirements; work with various focus teams in our organizations to generate innovative and scalable solutions; and implement those solutions to enhance our systems and processes on an ongoing basis Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similarly analytical and technological field - one (1) year of experience in the offered position or a related occupation - one (1) year of experience in systems administration, network troubleshooting, release management and performance engineering with DevOps focus - one (1) year of experience in full-stack development in a CI/CD environment - one (1) year of experience in automating, deploying, running, and monitoring performance of custom applications - one (1) year of experience in networking fundamentals, Python scripting and automation, and ansible Required Skills: Systems administration, Network troubleshooting, Release management, Performance engineering Important Skills: Full-stack development, CI/CD environment, Python scripting, Ansible Nice-to-Have Skills: Automating applications, Monitoring performance, Networking fundamentals Benefits: Discretionary bonus, Paid leave, Insurance
