Job Description
Summary: IMA Financial Group is an expanding company that focuses on supporting divisional growth initiatives and strategic projects. The Business Analyst role is designed for early-career professionals to independently support workstreams, synthesize complex information, and translate analysis into actionable insights while collaborating with business leaders across various functions.
Responsibilities:
- Support the design, scoping, planning, and execution of cross‑functional projects by independently owning analyses, workplans, and deliverables with guidance from leaders
- Support M&A due diligence efforts by gathering and synthesizing operational and financial data from pre-LOI phase through closing; prior M&A experience is helpful but not required
- Assist in planning and executing pre- and post-close integration activities across operations, technology, and business functions
- Track progress against integration plans and escalate issues or delays as needed
- Collaborate with IT, finance, HR, and other departments to coordinate integration tasks and timelines
- Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate integration status to stakeholders
- Contribute to post-merger evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives
- Analyze various data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Conduct detailed analysis to support strategic decision making, including product and service assessments, resource allocations, and operating unit business plans
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders
- Develop and deliver presentations to communicate complex information clearly and effectively
- Serve as the liaison between the business units and various technical teams/experts to ensure alignment and understanding
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field preferred
- 0–2 years of experience in management consulting, banking, corporate finance, or similar roles
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with project management software and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) are a plus
- Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams with minimal oversight in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong follow‑through and accountability for deliverables
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage with senior-level management and excellent executive presence
- Personable, highly motivated, and goal oriented. Driven to achieve individual and divisional goals
