Job Description
Summary: Coherent is a global leader in lasers, engineered materials, and networking components. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lithography Intern to join our Process Engineering team for Summer 2026, where you will gain hands-on experience in the fabrication of photonic semiconductor devices and contribute to important projects.
Responsibilities:
- Run DOE tests to develop & optimize IGP lens process
- Process wafers with steppers, contact aligners, and metrology tools
- Analyze DOE results and optimize process
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled graduate students or college seniors, majoring in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or other related areas
- Basic knowledge of photolithography and semiconductor physics
- Team-oriented but able to work independently when needed
- Attention to detail and time management
- Able to work inside cleanroom with lithography tools
- Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. EHS standards
- Adhere to company's values (ICARE) in all aspects of your position
