They are seeking an Engineering Intern who will work on engineering projects under the supervision of senior engineers, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to innovative solutions. Responsibilities: - Work on engineering projects under the supervision of senior engineers - Assist in the design, analysis, and implementation of engineering projects - Collaborate with senior engineers and team members to solve technical challenges - Conduct research, testing, and documentation as required Required Qualifications: - Must be a US citizen - Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field, meeting the academic year requirements - Proficient in Excel, able to generate charts and analyze data tables - Strong problem-solving skills and a keen interest in engineering projects - Must be able to sit and stand for periods of time - All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards - Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System Preferred Qualifications: - Third- or fourth-year students in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering - Students of Physics or Materials Science will also be considered - Some hands-on experience a plus Required Skills: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering Important Skills: Excel proficiency Nice-to-Have Skills: Physics, Materials Science
