Summary: II-VI Aerospace & Defense is a global leader in lasers, engineered materials and networking components. They are seeking a motivated Data Analyst Intern to join their SiC Data Systems team for Summer 2026, where the intern will gain experience in manufacturing data analysis, data visualization, and data system design while contributing to projects that support semiconductor manufacturing. Responsibilities: - Wide project possibilities: manufacturing KPI analysis, automated data visualization, and equipment / human error detection - Guided ownership of entire project pipeline: problem identification, process discovery, solution design, and implementation - Key technological tools include Microsoft Power BI, SQL, Python, and React.js - Close collaboration with software engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders - By the end of the internship, a prototype of the selected project is expected Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled students or those who have graduated within one year of the internship start date - Education Level: bachelor's degree (rising senior) or master's degree - Majors: Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or other related STEM fields - Must be US citizen or permanent resident - Excellent written and verbal communication - Team-oriented but able to work independently when needed - Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment - Attention to detail and time management - Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or protected individual) - Compliance with all applicable export control regulations Preferred Qualifications: - Relevant coursework or extracurricular experience in material science or manufacturing is a plus Required Skills: Microsoft Power BI, SQL, Python Important Skills: React.js, Data visualization Benefits: Opportunities to connect with fellow interns and colleagues across the organization through virtual and in-person networking events, team-building activities and more
