The Metrology Engineer role involves supporting dimensional measurement and inspection activities to ensure the quality of raw materials used in the manufacture of IDEXX instruments, while also providing opportunities for hands-on technical work and professional growth. Responsibilities: - Execute day-to-day inspection work driven by Jira tickets, following established workflows - Perform gemba-style evaluations to understand parts, processes, and measurement needs before inspection - Use metrology equipment to measure raw material components used in IDEXX instruments - Compare inspection results to engineering specifications and drawings to determine in‑spec vs. out‑of‑spec conditions - Document measurement results clearly and communicate findings to engineering and quality partners - Support engineers by providing measurement data that may inform tolerance definition or refinement - Operate and maintain measurement equipment in accordance with established procedures - Build foundational knowledge of metrology best practices, GD&T, and inspection fundamentals through hands-on application Required Qualifications: - Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Industrial, or related discipline) is required.
