The Enterprise Cloud Spend Optimization internship role involves collaborating with teams to enhance the business value of enterprise cloud investments through data analysis, process standardization, and interactive visual analytics. Responsibilities: - Participate as a key member of the Cloud Spend Optimization team - Receive exposure to IDEXX's cloud spend and the applications it supports - Further progress on creation of a cloud data ecosystem to be leveraged for various analytical purposes - Create, curate, summarize, present data sets and research findings to the team - Support creation of standardized processes to promote consistency and scalability - Collect relevant data sources and ingest within the cloud data ecosystem - Analysis on large sets of cloud spend data - Create interactive visual analytics via dashboards - Document processes on data ingestion, visual analytics creation - Partner with other team members across DevOps and Finance - Research issues/questions as needed Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program majoring in Finance, Data/Analytics, or other related technology majors - Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and must have completed at least one year of college - A track record of student success and potential as demonstrated by GPA, research portfolio, prior work experiences and/or the recommendation of a professor preferred - Familiarity with cloud computing basics - Familiarity with MS Excel - Familiarity with data engineering - Familiarity with dashboard preparation - Familiarity with SQL or other similar querying language - Initiative and self-motivation to work with latitude for independent judgement - Can work with complex instructions and apply themselves to technical work - Ability to problem solve and draw conclusions, in some cases with limited information - Ability to work independently and in teams Required Skills: Cloud computing basics, Data engineering, SQL, querying language Important Skills: MS Excel, Dashboard preparation Benefits: Competitive compensation, Incentives, Benefits
