Job Description
Summary: iCOUNTER is seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Representative (BDR) to accelerate strategic growth. This role involves engaging potential customers, developing targeted messaging, and collaborating with the marketing team to enhance the company's brand in the market.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect, qualify, and engage potential customers through outbound outreach (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn) and inbound lead follow-up to build a healthy top-of-funnel pipeline
- Research and identify target accounts within defined verticals and segments, mapping key decision-makers and influencers before initial outreach
- Develop account-specific messaging that communicates iCOUNTER's value proposition clearly and resonates with each prospect's business challenges
- Conduct discovery conversations to uncover pain points, budget, timeline, and buying authority, then hand off qualified opportunities to Account Executives
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives and Marketing to align outreach sequences, campaign follow-ups, and account-based strategies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all outreach activity, pipeline status, and prospect interactions in the CRM
- Provide feedback from prospect conversations to inform product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market decisions
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly quotas for qualified meetings and pipeline contribution
- Represent iCOUNTER at virtual and in-person industry events, webinars, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and generate new leads
- Prospecting and qualifying new leads through outbound calls, emails, and social outreach across target accounts and verticals
- Conducting discovery calls with prospects to understand business needs, pain points, and buying timelines
- Collaborating with Account Executives, Marketing, and Product teams to refine messaging, support campaigns, and ensure smooth handoffs
- Preparing and delivering tailored outreach sequences, follow-up communications, and introductory presentations
- Attending sales team meetings, training sessions, and industry events to stay sharp on product knowledge and market trends
- Tracking daily activity, pipeline progress, and quota attainment in the CRM with consistent accuracy
- Surfacing prospect feedback and competitive insights to sales leadership and marketing to inform messaging and positioning
Required Qualifications:
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding outbound prospecting quotas and pipeline generation targets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling, concise outreach
- Comfortable making high-volume outbound calls and emails daily with a positive, persistent attitude
- Experience using CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and sales engagement tools (Nook, Outreach, Salesloft, Appollo etc.)
- Ability to quickly understand and articulate technical SaaS products in a way that connects to business value
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously
- Coachable, curious, and self-motivated with a genuine desire to grow in a sales career
- Collaborative team player who works well with Account Executives, Marketing, and cross-functional stakeholders
