Job Description
Summary: iCapital is powering the world’s alternative investment marketplace and is seeking a highly motivated Product Manager to help lead various buildouts of the Investment Product team platform. This role involves engaging with fund managers, defining product requirements, and delivering solutions to enhance efficiency in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with fund managers to understand their most pressing needs, develop features and products, and structure deployments
- Define product requirements by writing detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for software engineers
- Embrace a fast-paced, agile development environment, deploying quickly to learn and iterate based on feedback
- Own, lead, and deliver various solutions with direct oversight of product building from start to finish
- Identify unmet needs, define requirements, write user stories, develop project communication plans, and test product features
- Communicate effectively with business stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and align planned features with the vision and strategy of the team
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project communication plans, ensuring transparency and alignment across teams such as sales, marketing, engineering, and other product lines
- Investigate bugs and, when appropriate, identify tactical solutions to production issues impacting users
- Monitor the performance of product features post-launch and continuously seek opportunities for improvement
- Foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the team to maintain high standards of work, product quality, and communication
Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in product management, preferably within fintech, wealth management, or other related industries
- Desire to become an expert in the private markets and alternative investments, understanding both the product intricacies and wider industry to drive informed decision making and product leadership
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a results-driven, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong analytical skills, with a proven track record of solving complex, unfamiliar problems through innovative solutions
- Experience with agile methodologies and a mindset that embraces quick deployment, learning, and iteration
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop clear and effective project communication plans
- A customer-centric approach, with experience engaging directly with clients to gather insights and feedback
- Technical acumen, comfortable working closely with Engineering teams to solve problems and complete projects
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to write comprehensive user stories and acceptance criteria
- Flexible and adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing demands and timelines
- Desire to grow and take on increasing responsibilities within a rapidly expanding company
