Equities Sales & Trading Intern, Liquidnet at ICAP in New York

Summary: TP ICAP Group is the world’s largest interdealer broker, and they are seeking an Equities Sales & Trading Intern to gain hands-on exposure to the trading environment at Liquidnet. Interns will work alongside professionals, shadowing teams and supporting client interactions while learning about market activity and trading processes. Responsibilities: - Shadowing BDs and EQS coverage during live trading sessions - Monitoring real‑time activity in the Liquidnet system to understand market flows - Assisting with client requests and onboarding in collaboration with product support and legal teams - Supporting the Sales team with client performance analysis and reporting - Learning how Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) informs execution strategies - Contributing to desk‑specific projects that improve client engagement and trading efficiency - Conducting ad hoc analyses to investigate trading or operational issues Required Qualifications: - Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and pursuing a bachelor's degree - Have an anticipated graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027 - Be authorized to work in the United States (we do not offer visa sponsorship) - Relocate at own cost if applicable; Liquidnet does not provide relocation or housing assistance Preferred Qualifications: - Passionate about financial markets and client interaction - Strong communicators who can build relationships and collaborate effectively - Curious learners with analytical thinking and problem-solving skills - Adaptable and composed in fast‑changing, high‑pressure environments - Organized and able to manage multiple tasks with precision - Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) Required Skills: Financial Markets, Client Interaction, Microsoft Excel, Analytical Thinking Benefits: Learning & Development Workshops, Volunteer and Community Engagement Events, Social and Networking Activities
