Job Description
Summary: IBM is a global leader in consulting, focused on improving the hybrid cloud and AI journey for innovative companies. As a Business Transformation Consultant Intern, you will work on client projects, gain professional experience, and enhance your skills while supporting operational improvement and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Immerse yourself in IBM Technology and Red Hat solutions, collaborating with dynamic teams, assisting clients in navigating technical solutions, conducting research, and refining competitive strategies
- Support workshops, meetings, and interviews to understand and document requirements collaborating with diverse teams to capture and synthesizing essential information
- Support operational improvement by designing models for a seamless client experience, contributing to heightened efficiency and effectiveness in operational processes
- Gain hands on experience shadowing product teams and enterprise-wide use cases for IBM Technology and Red Hat solutions. Contribute to AI, Data Analytics, Automation and Red Hat projects and actively participate in IBM Consulting implementations across major platforms
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a university degree with a track-record of academic success
- Strong interpersonal skills that enhance collaboration and relationship building, while also managing dynamic workloads in an agile environment
- Have initiative and passion to actively seek new knowledge and improve skills while embracing a growth mindset to assimilate diverse viewpoints
- Demonstrate leadership experience and ability to communicate effectively through active listening; while also be willing to adapt and have a readiness to take ownership of tasks and challenges
- Can understand clients' needs and challenges, applying a creative and logical approach to identify solutions
- A passion for innovative ideas, coupled with the ability to understand and assimilate different points of view
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines, while maintaining focus in an environment with conflicting demands
- Willingness to travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred majors: Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Math, MIS, Engineering, Business Management, Finance
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrate foundational quantitative analysis skills and ability to develop data driven recommendations
- Exposure to AI Concepts and programming languages, a basic understanding of Hybrid Cloud (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.)
- Basic understanding of financial statements and simple financial models
- Familiarity with project management methodologies or tools (e.g., Agile, Jira) is a plus
- Leadership programs/student organizations, clubs, veterans, P-TECH
- Basic understanding of financial statements and financial modeling
- Interest in developing a consulting career in strategy, data or business transformation
