Job Description
Summary: Hyundai AutoEver America is a dynamic IT powerhouse behind Hyundai Motor Corporation, providing cutting-edge IT services and support. The Infrastructure Security Engineer I will support day-to-day information security operations, helping to protect corporate systems and networks while assisting in the implementation and maintenance of security technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation, testing, and deployment of security technologies, including contributing to operational documentation and runbooks
- Support ongoing maintenance, updates, and optimization of existing security systems, including opportunities to automate routine security processes
- Participate in the evaluation, deployment, and integration of security tools that enhance protection of corporate assets and infrastructure
- Contribute to risk assessments and security exposure analyses for systems, networks, and business applications to identify vulnerabilities
- Help monitor and analyze network and system security configurations to ensure secure, efficient, and cost‑effective performance
- Participate in incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, remediation, and documentation for both IT and MES environments
- Assist in creating and delivering periodic or ad‑hoc security reports that provide situational awareness and security metrics for internal stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- 1–3 years of relevant IT experience, including at least 1 year in Security Engineering, Security Operations, or Security Planning
- Strong analytical and logical thinking skills with the ability to troubleshoot and implement effective solutions
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, manage time effectively, and complete assignments on schedule
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to interact positively with internal and external customers; willingness to work occasional nights/weekends and minimal local travel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Security+ certification or other relevant security/networking certifications (e.g., Network+, CySA+, CCNA Security)
- Experience supporting or operating enterprise security tools such as DLP, Antivirus, IDS/IPS, EDR, or WAF solutions
- Familiarity with incident response processes, vulnerability assessment tools, or security monitoring procedures
- Demonstrated ability to document procedures, develop runbooks, or contribute to security process improvements
