Job Description
Summary: Hunter Automotive Group is a family-owned business that has been serving western North Carolina for over 85 years. They are seeking a PDI Accessory Technician to perform pre-delivery inspections and install OEM-approved accessories on Subaru, Hyundai, and Volvo vehicles, ensuring they meet manufacturer standards before delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new and used Subaru, Hyundai, and Volvo vehicles in accordance with OEM and dealership guidelines
- Inspect vehicle systems, fluids, tires, lights, safety features, and driver-assist technologies to ensure proper operation
- Verify vehicle software updates, warning indicators, and onboard systems as required by manufacturer standards
- Identify, document, and report any issues requiring repair or correction
- Install OEM and dealership-approved accessories
- Follow manufacturer installation procedures and torque specifications to ensure warranty compliance
- Test installed accessories for proper fitment and functionality
- Complete all inspection checklists and documentation accurately and timely
- Work closely with the service, parts, and sales teams to ensure vehicles are delivery-ready
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous automotive, mechanical, or accessory installation experience (OEM dealership experience is a plus)
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with modern vehicle technology
- Ability to read and follow Subaru, Hyundai, and Volvo service procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a drive to succeed
