Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Humanscale in US-NJ-Piscataway

Summary: Humanscale is the premier designer and manufacturer of ergonomic products that improve health and comfort at work. The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will support continuous improvement of products and processes while assisting operations engineers with key initiatives and projects. Responsibilities: - Support continuous improvement of products and processes using appropriate Lean and problem-solving techniques - Actively participate in the analysis of product defects/customer returns - Study and record time, motion, methods, and speed to improve efficiency and output - Conduct root cause investigations and implementation of corrective actions - Write assembly instructions for production lines - Assist operations engineers with key initiatives and priority improvement projects - Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: - Minimum two (2) years into Mechanical, Industrial, or Packaging Engineering curriculum - Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel - Good written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with any CAD software (SolidWorks a plus) - Computer programming skills a plus Required Skills: Lean, Product defect analysis, Time, motion study, Root cause investigation, Corrective action implementation, Assembly instruction writing, Microsoft Excel, CAD software, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Packaging Engineering
