Endo Tech
Location: Stillwater, MN, United States
As an Endo Tech you will assist nursing personnel to provide patient care according to department and hospital standards under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including:
- Escorts patients upon discharge to their ride.
- Assist with pre and post procedure care of endoscopy and surgery patients.
- Transportation of patients
- Orientation of patient to room
- Vital signs
- Connect/disconnect monitoring devices
- Discontinue IVFs under the direction of RN
Assist physician/RN with endoscopic procedures
- Positioning of patient
- Preparation and delivery of specimens
- Biopsy, snare and other endoscopy procedures under the direction of the physician
- Turn over Endoscopy rooms
- Set up procedure room
- Pre-clean and disinfect scopes
- Clean rooms between patients
Assist with chart prep for endoscopy and surgery patients
- Chart assembly and acquisition of necessary forms
Schedule: 0.8 FTE Weekday Day/Evening hours plus weekend on-call requirements
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Current BLS – American Heart Association or BLS – American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)
- One year (2080 hours) Endo Tech experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of unit secretary course or prior experience
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
