Job Description
Summary: HP is one of the world’s leading technology companies, committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. The Life Science Solutions Intern will gain hands-on experience in hardware testing and algorithm development while contributing to innovative life science solutions.
Responsibilities:
- This internship offers hands-on experience in hardware testing, electrical signal algorithm development, and applying AI to improve team efficiency. Under the guidance of our lead Electrical Integration Engineer, the intern will handle integration assessment, troubleshooting, and developing impedance-based algorithms for biological cell workflows, as well as AI solutions for workflow optimization
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a four-year college and returning to school following the internship
- Able to obtain work authorization in the United States in 2026, and not require sponsorship in the future
- Currently pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering
- Core Electrical Engineering Skills
- System Integration & Software
- Programming experience in at least one of the following: Python, C# / C++, MATLAB
- Ability to develop or modify test scripts, data analysis tools, or automation utilities
- Comfortable troubleshooting issues across electrical, firmware, and software boundaries
Preferred Qualifications:
- EE/CS
- Exposure to impedance spectroscopy, sensing systems, or instrumentation
- Experience applying machine learning or AI to engineering workflows, data analysis, or automation
- Prior internship, research lab, or project experience involving electromechanical systems
- Experience in any of the following areas: Embedded & Microcontroller Systems, Digital Design & HDL, DSP & Signal Algorithms
