Job Description
Summary: HP Hood is one of the largest and most trusted food and beverage manufacturers in the United States. The Warehouse Worker is responsible for safely and efficiently handling quality products in line with HP Hood LLC Standards, including assisting in production setup and conducting quality checks.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to work in a coordinated and cooperative manner in a team setting with team goals
- Assist in setting up production and supplies
- Must attend any pertinent training, in-house or off-site, applicable to all job responsibilities and requirements as directed by management
- Must have the ability to visually inspect equipment and product for safety and quality defects
- Must have the ability to read operation schedules, staging schedules, and load in/out schedules
- Must have the ability to fill out the required paperwork for the operation correctly
- Must learn to run the equipment and label products at established efficiency goals
- Must be able to adapt to new technology as it comes into the department
- Must be able to clean and reassemble the equipment following developed procedures
- Must perform housekeeping duties and observe Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) while maintaining an efficient operation
- Must perform all required quality checks
- Must perform and follow safe quality foods (SQF) requirements
- Must follow all safety rules, programs, and procedures
- Able to rotate between positions within a job group based on qualifications
- Ability to effectively communicate with others
- Able to assist with training, procedure development, and procedure validation
- Must obtain certification of operating PIT
- Must be able to efficiently perform the computer work required
- Must be able to back trailers in and position them in the yard for storage
- Must comply with the food defense program and recall program
- Must follow the FIFO program with stock and finished goods
- Must perform all duties as assigned by leadership (Foreman, Supervisor, and Manager)

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic math and computer skills; Experience with barcode scanners
- Experience working with powered industrial trucks
- Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle and move items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and move objects exceeding 50 pounds with reasonable accommodations
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to lift greater than 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job functions
- Team oriented; Ability to collaborate and operate in a team environment; Ability to work independently
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team based environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Warehouse experience preferred
