The Manufacturing Intern will assist cross-functional teams in areas such as manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, while developing practical skills in a regulated environment. Responsibilities: - Support manufacturing operations related to machining, deburring, inspection, and assembly of metal fittings - Assist with data collection, reporting, and basic analysis related to production efficiency, scrap, rework, and throughput - Help maintain accurate production documentation in accordance with aerospace quality standards (AS9100, ISO, etc.) - Shadow and assist supervisors, engineers, and leads with process improvements and workflow optimization - Support inventory tracking, material flow, and basic scheduling activities - Participate in safety initiatives and comply with all EH&S requirements - Assist with continuous improvement projects (5S, Lean, standard work documentation) - Perform administrative and operational support tasks as assigned Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in or recently completed a program in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field - Strong interest in aerospace manufacturing and metal products - Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook - Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety requirements - Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn - Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement concepts - Interest in pursuing a career in aerospace, manufacturing, or operations - Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and production equipment - Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs, with reasonable accommodations required by law - Must Comply With All Company Safety And PPE Requirements Required Skills: Manufacturing operations, Machining, Deburring, Inspection, Assembly of metal fittings, Data collection, Production efficiency analysis, Production documentation, Aerospace quality standards AS9100, Aerospace quality standards ISO, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Lean manufacturing, Continuous improvement concepts, Safety compliance, Willingness to learn
