Summary: Howmet Aerospace is a leading global provider of advanced engineered solutions for the aerospace and transportation industries. They are seeking an Engineering Intern for their Torrance location to participate in a structured summer internship program involving hands-on training and impactful projects. Responsibilities: - Tool life capital improvement planning (materials, coatings, fluids, feeds & speeds) - Improve tool life through design of experiment testing of machining factors Required Qualifications: - Must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree or graduate degree program in an engineering discipline by the start of employment - Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution - Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.) - Must be proficient working in a Microsoft systems environment - Excel is required - Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States - Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire - Visa sponsorship is not available for this position - Able to work full time, onsite for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning in May or June 2026 - Able to provide own transportation for position at Torrance, California - Relocation assistance not provided Preferred Qualifications: - Basic programming recommended - Prior Internship work experience - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Excellent analytical skills Required Skills: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, Basic programming, Analytical skills
