Job Description
Summary: Howmet Aerospace Inc. is a leading global provider of advanced engineered solutions for the aerospace and transportation industries. They are seeking a highly motivated and energetic student to assist their Automation teams in identifying new manufacturing technology and sustaining current technology in use at the operation during a structured summer internship program.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Automation teams in identifying new manufacturing technology and sustaining current technology in use at the operation
- Participate in plant tours, lunch & learn seminars, fun networking events, and projects selected to add direct value to the business
- Present projects to plant managers, supervisors, and mentors at the conclusion of the program
Required Qualifications:
- Candidate must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution (by May 2026)
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Robotic, Industrial/Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science/Software Engineering
- Experience with robotics or other programming of robots
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment
- Highly detailed and organized
- Relevant internship/work experience a plus
