Job Description
Summary: Houlihan Lokey, Inc. is a leading global investment bank recognized for delivering independent strategic and financial advice. They are seeking an AI Strategic Business Development Intern to support their Corporate Finance team by contributing to innovative AI and machine learning projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the AI Strategic Business Development team in designing, building, and testing machine learning models
- Support investment banking professionals in identifying opportunities for AI integration and process automation
- Help conduct research on the latest advancements in AI and machine learning and present findings to the team
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of data pipelines that support our AI applications
- Provide support for ad-hoc analytical projects and data-driven tasks as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
- A strong academic record and a demonstrated passion for technology and finance
- Coursework or project experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analysis
- Familiarity with Python and common data science libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn)
- Solid foundational knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- A strong desire to learn, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to or an interest in large language models (e.g., Gemini) is a plus
