Job Description
Summary: Horsepower Automotive Group (HPAG) is a leader in the automotive aftermarket industry, currently seeking to expand their Supply Chain team with a Supply Chain Analyst. The role involves overseeing the supply chain process, including procurement, production, inventory control, logistics, and reporting for an aftermarket automotive parts company.
Responsibilities:
- Plans, manages and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle
- Controls, measures, and regulates efficient inventory levels of purchased materials in support of operations and drives inventory reduction through better use of the MRP/ERP system and delivery methods
- Balances current and future demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities/ capacities to ensure on-time completion of customer requirements
- Oversees the planning and release of production orders to meet customer orders while maintaining optimum lead time and inventory levels
- Drives resolution to materials issues which includes evaluating material shortages, performing root cause analysis, and replenishing to the appropriate inventory levels
- Analyzes data, including enterprise requirements planning information and prepares reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure optimal supply chain execution
- Maintains planning parameters in order execution systems (MRP/ERP) to ensure proper order generation
- Identifies material cost and schedule impact of proposed engineering changes in addition to taking necessary actions to ensure successful implementation and incorporation of approved engineering releases
- Analyzes and manages inventory levels in relation to customer requirements to meet profit and inventory targets and goals
- Supports cost reduction projects and improvement initiatives to achieve overall business objectives
- Manages short and long term planning scenarios and leveraging system capabilities to support those models
- Provides key analytical support in supply chain scenario analysis including capacity planning
- Develops and maintains a working relationship with all internal and external stakeholders
- Develops and maintains a supply chain strategic plan to understand key analytics, and risks to the company supply chain
- Monitors overall production schedules, raw material inventory levels & shipments to advise of any issues in the supply chain
- This includes identifying and driving development of appropriate support tools to reduce manual processes
- Maintains visibility to company strategies as well as developing and achieving strategies to meet business and inventory objectives
- Supports audit efforts both regulatory and financial in nature
- Participates in the selection efforts for suppliers, 3PLs and other distribution partners
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and be a team player to accomplish the company goals
- Self-motivated, assertive, and responds to production metrics
- Organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, assertiveness and self-starter are characteristics that will be needed to be successful in this role
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent in Engineering, Math, Statistics or Programming
- 0-2 years' experience in forecasting, planning and procurement; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- PMP, CPIM, CPM, or other related certifications are a plus
- Advanced level in Microsoft Excel
- Proficient in creating reports in PowerBI that are clear, concise and provide key insights using statistics
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Write reports, spreadsheets, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL, Word, Access and department specific software packages, including 10 key calculator skills, ERP/MRP experience
