Mech Design Engr II at Honeywell in Mexico City, Mexico, MX

• As part of IMC Engineering group, you will be one among the team designing & sustaining portable gas detectors  
• Provide leadership in global cross functional engineering teams for product development in mechanical engineering and electromechanical packaging.  This is an advanced engineering position. 
• Implement full life cycle development process from requirements gathering, design, development, test, and release.  Excellent documentation and design of experiments background. 
• Use 3D/2D CAD/Simulation to evaluate and prototype designs. 
• Design for mass production using plastic enclosure with circuit boards. 
• Understanding mechanics and materials, secondary processes and finishes.   
• Create designs that may have chemical interactions under various ambient-environmental conditions.  
• Provide systems design and development activities in new product development that lead to new toxic gas detection products and / or improvement of current products and processes. 
• Facilitate and participate in risk analysis reviews; DFMEA and PFMEA, Quality Audits and problem-solving field returns.  Identify opportunities for cost reduction or yield improvement. 
• Facilitate product integration into corporate management ERP systems including ECN change notices in a factory environment.  Facilitate change management activities. 
• Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment with potentially conflicting goals and objectives. 

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering 
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and development
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies
• Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks) software and mechanical analysis tools to create and validate designs effectively
• Experience with mechanical testing and validation processes 
• Design of Injection molds
• Advanced English level
