This position is responsible for supporting testing processes at the laboratories located in the Mexicali Research and Technology Center (MRTC) and Honeywell Aerospace (ISC).
Responsibilities
- Supporting analysis of incoming samples in the MRTC laboratory.
- Plans and organizes approach to complete routine work. Set up standard tests and may troubleshoot instrumentation with guidance.
- Requires considerable knowledge and experience of theory, principles, and procedures in the laboratory and accepts full responsibility for getting results.
- Analyzes, document, and troubleshoots problems that sometimes require resolution at a higher level
- Performs a variety of duties with latitude for making modifications and adjustments as necessary. Support a high mix of test processes, including, but not limited to: chemistry analysis, metallographic, Welder’s certification & shelf-life extensions.
- Testing support will involve the following:
- Preparation of materials and standards.
- Prepares reports, analyzes data, identifies discrepancies, and communicates results
- Drive compliance to relevant test spec requirements.
- Ownership of assigned work instructions/test procedures
- Maintains control of inventories, standards, shelf-life controlled materials, etc., and plans ahead to assure their availability when needed.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- High School, technical diploma or finished/unfinished bachelor.
- At least 1 Year of materials testing or analysis experience
- Working knowledge of materials testing.
- Able to work on flexible/rotating shifts (day or swing shift)
