Accounting Intern at Honest Health in Remote

Summary: Honest Health is a healthcare organization focused on transforming primary care through collaboration with various stakeholders. They are seeking an Accounting Intern who will support the Accounting team with routine tasks, gain exposure to core accounting processes, and develop practical skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: - Assist with basic accounting tasks such as data entry, posting support schedules, and organizing supporting documentation for journal entries and reconciliations - Help prepare and maintain account reconciliations by gathering support and flagging discrepancies for review - Support accounts payable activities, including reviewing vendor invoices for completeness, proper coding, and required approvals, and organizing AP records - Assist with maintaining organized financial support files to ensure audit readiness and compliance with internal policies - Provide administrative and ad-hoc accounting support to team members across accounting, FP&A, HR, and other departments as needed - Perform other related duties and learning assignments as assigned Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - Basic understanding of accounting concepts and financial statements - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel and learning new systems Preferred Qualifications: - Interest in healthcare, accounting operations, and process improvement is a plus Required Skills: Accounting concepts, Financial statements, Microsoft Excel, Account reconciliations, Accounts payable
