Operations Intern - Summer 2026 at Home Chef in Chicago, IL

Summary: Home Chef is a leading meal solutions company, and they are seeking an Operations Intern for the Summer of 2026. This internship will provide hands-on experience in operational projects, data analysis, and process improvements while collaborating with cross-functional teams at their corporate office in Chicago. Responsibilities: - Prepare and assist in project documentation, including identifying project scope, risks, constraints, dependencies, assumptions, and deadlines - Working with stakeholders to execute against project goals - Pull relevant data from Home Chef systems and put together reports / dashboards in Google sheets - Drive process improvements via data driven decision making - Assist in data cleanup inside of Home Chef systems as we continue to grow and refine processes (e.g. ingredients database) - Build presentations and report out to Operations leadership on project status - Attend learning and development classes hosted by various leaders across the organization, building skills in deck building, reporting, project management, etc Required Qualifications: - Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field in Operations - Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills - Experience with Google Suite or Microsoft Office, ability to pick up on new technology tools quickly - Detail oriented and organized - Ability to manage multiple tasks / projects at a time - Up to one year of post-high school training such as in a business school, community college or vocational training Required Skills: Data Analysis, Google Suite, Project Management Important Skills: Microsoft Office Nice-to-Have Skills: Multi-tasking Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance available, Paid holidays, sick time and vacation time, 401k program, Flexible spending accounts for qualified medical, dependent care, parking, or transit expenses
