Purpose:
To coordinate all aspects of Transportation & school wide Events. To provide the leadership and expertise necessary to ensure that the school aligned with the mission, goals, and objectives of the school and the school district, and is an integral component of the learning/instructional program. To support a healthy learning school and keep all student safe/healthy as well of ensuring that the school office operations run smoothly to service student, families and the community.
Requirements
Duties/Responsibilities:
Change address/phone numbers in PowerSchool
Update transportation in PowerSchool
Request new bus stops & communicate to parents
Clean out dead stops
Bus cards
Resolve bus issue with parents and HAP
Request field trip buses
Request sports/ afterschool buses
Make weekly bus checklist
Update routes based on changes
Transportation state report
Bus pass
Bus evacuation/safety
Summer school busses
All other school related duties as assigned by supervisor
Knowledge:
Knowledge of computer operation, applications, data entry and retrieval
Knowledge of office procedures, practices and policies
Knowledge of first aid procedures
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Knowledge of the program, functions, and procedures of a school setting
Skills:
An explicit understanding of the Academy vision in relation to high expectations and high stakes and the importance of high quality events
excellent communication and presentation skills
excellent organizational and time management skills
problem solving skills
The stamina and energy required to work long hours when required
The ability to work effectively with all staff members
The ability to pay close attention to details
The ability to work well under pressure and make responsible decisions quickly.
Specific Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Administration, Business or equivalent of experience may be considered.
Work Environment/Conditions
Complete additional job requirements that support and enhance teaching and learning, such as appropriate participation in professional development and training sessions; off-campus sessions, etc.
Fast pace office environment: Ability to work 40 hours
Frequent keyboarding which calls for repetitive motion and rapid eye movements
Frequent use of the telephone: Ability to sit for extended periods of time: Ability to push, reach, or bend
Be professional in attire and dress at all times, whether on campus or representing HCPA at off-campus activities. HCPA values dictate modest and appropriate business attire. Business attire is required Monday through Friday (Friday is not a dress down day). Be accountable in normal classroom and occasional outdoor/off site activity settings, bus schedules, lunchroom, etc.
Perform other school related duties as assigned by the school administration
