Internal Chief of Staff (INS855) at Hire Overseas in Washington, DC

We're looking for an Internal Chief of Staff to work directly alongside the founders of Hire Overseas, a fast-moving offshore staffing and HR platform placing vetted global talent into U.S. companies. You will be the operational and strategic right hand of the founding team — owning cross-functional initiatives, keeping the business running without gaps, translating founder priorities into executed outcomes, and filling whatever role the business needs most at any given moment.

This is a small business. You will have a high degree of ownership and autonomy, which means you are expected to think, decide, and act rather than wait for direction. If you are a sharp, versatile operator who thrives in ambiguity, takes full ownership of outcomes, and wants to work at the center of a growing company where your impact is immediate and visible, this role is a strong fit.

Why You'll Want to Join

• 100% remote setup so you can work wherever you're most productive
• This role requires availability during US business hours
• Work directly alongside the founders of a growing offshore staffing company with real traction and a differentiated market position
• High-ownership, high-visibility role with full autonomy and a direct line to the top of the organization

What You'll Work On

Founder and Executive Support

• Serve as the primary operational partner to the founders, managing priorities, information flow, and execution across the business
• Prepare founders for meetings, decisions, and external conversations with the right context and materials
• Manage founder inboxes, communications, and follow-ups where needed to keep momentum moving
• Identify and remove obstacles that slow the founders down before they have to ask

Cross-Functional Operations

• Own and drive cross-functional initiatives that span multiple teams or functions and require coordination without formal authority
• Keep critical projects on track by clarifying ownership, deadlines, and next steps across the organization
• Build and maintain internal processes, SOPs, and operational infrastructure that scale as the company grows
• Identify operational gaps and fix them proactively rather than waiting to be assigned

Strategic Projects and Analysis

• Take on high-priority strategic projects from scoping through completion with minimal hand-holding
• Research, analyze, and synthesize information to help the founders make faster, better decisions
• Prepare internal reports, presentations, and communications that give the team and leadership clear visibility into what matters
• Translate strategy into action plans that people can actually execute

People and Team Coordination

• Coordinate across internal team members, contractors, and external partners to keep commitments on track
• Support hiring, onboarding, and team operations as the company grows
• Serve as a trusted internal communication hub, ensuring the right people have the right information at the right time

What You Bring

• Proven experience in a chief of staff, operations lead, founder's associate, or similar high-ownership generalist role at a startup or fast-moving company
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to represent the founders professionally in any context
• Strong strategic thinking combined with the operational discipline to execute without losing quality or momentum
• Comfortable operating with full autonomy in a small business where the answers are not always obvious and the scope evolves quickly
• High ownership mindset — you surface problems with a proposed solution, close loops without being reminded, and do not wait to be told what to do next
• Versatile and adaptable with the ability to move between strategic, operational, and administrative work without losing effectiveness in any of them

Nice to Have

• Experience at a staffing, recruiting, HR services, or B2B professional services company
• Background working directly with founders or C-suite executives in a high-trust, high-access role
• Familiarity with offshore or global hiring and the operational complexity of managing a distributed workforce
• Experience building internal processes, SOPs, or operational infrastructure from scratch
• Prior chief of staff or founder's associate experience at an early-stage or high-growth company

How to Apply

Please include:

1. Your updated resume
2. A short Loom video (1 to 2 minutes) introducing yourself, describing your experience in a chief of staff or high-ownership generalist role, and walking through one initiative you owned end to end that required coordinating across multiple functions without formal authority

Only candidates who submit a Loom video will be moved to the next step of the hiring process.

If you want to work at the center of a fast-moving company, operate with real autonomy, and have your impact felt immediately across every part of the business, this role gives you the access, the ownership, and the direct influence to do your best work.
