Evening Nurse Tech (CNA) – Hillcrest Shadow Lake

Hillcrest Health & Living is looking for compassionate, dependable, and team-focused Nurse Techs (CNAs) to join the evening team at Hillcrest Shadow Lake in Papillion.
If evenings fit your schedule but a 2:00 p.m. start is a little tight, this role offers some flexibility with the start time. The goal is to find strong Nurse Techs who can be there for the most important parts of the evening while providing consistent, high-quality care to residents.

As a Nurse Tech, you’ll play an important role in helping residents feel safe, comfortable, and supported as they move through dinner, personal care, and their evening routines.

What You’ll Do
As a Nurse Tech, you’ll work closely with nurses and other team members to provide person-centered care and support throughout the evening.
You will:
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, and other activities of daily living.
• Help with transfers, repositioning, ambulation, and mobility.
• Respond promptly to call lights and requests for assistance.
• Obtain and document vital signs as directed.
• Observe residents for changes in condition, behavior, comfort, or mobility.
• Communicate changes or concerns promptly to the nurse.
• Assist with meals, snacks, hydration, and evening routines.
• Encourage residents to maintain as much independence as possible.
• Follow individualized care plans and resident preferences.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain resident privacy, dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
• Follow infection-control and safe resident-handling procedures.
• Communicate positively with residents, families, nurses, and fellow team members.
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment.
• Jump in and help wherever needed to keep the evening running smoothly.

Education & Credentials
• Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant course required.
• Active Nebraska CNA certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic Life Support/CPR certification required or must be obtained within Hillcrest’s established timeframe.
• Previous CNA, senior living, assisted living, long-term care, post-acute, or similar experience preferred.

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Must be able to safely assist residents with activities of daily living, transfers, mobility, and personal care.
• Must be able to perform repetitive standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and movement throughout the shift.
• Must be able to remain flexible and calm when supporting residents, families, and team members.
• Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced care environment.
• Must be able to utilize electronic documentation systems and other healthcare technology.
• Must follow established infection-control, safety, and care procedures.
• Possible exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.
