Job Description
Summary: Highland Electric Fleets is a leading provider of Electrification-as-a-Service, focused on making electric fleets accessible and affordable. The Business Development Representative will support business development by seeking new opportunities and building relationships with potential customers.
Responsibilities:
- Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
- Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
- Present our company to potential clients
- Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
- Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
- Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
- Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives
- Report to the Business Development Manager on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
- Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans
- Some travel may be required (up to 10%)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1-3+ years' experience in sales, operations, account management, customer success, and/or business development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well and quickly under pressure both individually and as a part of a team
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to monitor key performance metrics (KPIs) to evaluate effectiveness and recommend necessary adjustments
- Demonstrated ability to perform research, organize tasks and execute actions involving multiple team members in a gated and deadline driven environment
- Proficient in MS Office / Google Workspace, CRM and ability to learn new applications
- Motivational self-starter with ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Strong time management and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Customer service, multi-channel sales, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills are a plus
- Interest or prior knowledge of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and / or clean transportation is a plus
