Job Description
The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for leading supplier quality assurance initiatives for mechanical / electrical commodities, including busbars, wire harness, insulation materials, hardware and catalogue items. This role ensures that suppliers meet quality standards through qualification, auditing, performance monitoring and continuous improvement efforts. The engineer collaborates cross-functionally with Sourcing, Engineering, Purchase and Manufacturing teams to drive defect prevention, resolve quality issues, and enhance overall supplier performance
- Define and enforce supplier quality requirements and standards.
- Conduct audits to ensure supplier processes meet quality expectations.
- Monitor supplier performance and track key quality metrics.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align quality and technical requirements.
- Support new product introduction and supplier readiness activities.
- Identify and mitigate supplier quality and supply risks.
