This role is perfect for a numbers driven operator who has run an MVNO or mobile commercial function end to end and wants ownership of a fast growing convergence play.
What you'll do:

- Manage the day to day relationship with the host network and MVNE partner, covering service levels, roadmap alignment, escalations and commercial performance
- Build and run the mobile devices proposition, including sourcing, vendor negotiation, financing models and retail distribution
- Deliver and operate self service RICA and digital onboarding, ensuring full compliance with RICA, ICASA and POPIA
- Own the ambassador and on the ground distribution channel, covering recruitment, incentive design, training and territory coverage
- Build, structure and lead the Mobile team, including recruitment, role definition and performance management
- Manage third party vendor and supplier relationships within delegated authority
- Maintain regulatory and governance compliance across ICASA licence conditions, RICA, consumer protection and POPIA, and keep a live mobile risk register
- Provide accurate mobile forecasting, reporting and data definitions into Commercial and Finance reporting cycles
What you'll need:
- Matric or National Senior Certificate
- A relevant NQF Level 6 or 7 qualification in commerce, business, marketing or engineering, or equivalent demonstrable experience in the mobile and telecoms sector
- A valid driver's licence and own transport, given the national travel requirement
- 8+ years experience in the mobile and telecoms sector, including at least 3 years in a management role with accountability for commercial delivery against budget
- Demonstrable experience in an MVNO or mobile operator environment across the commercial value chain, including product and tariff design, activation and onboarding, distribution channels and subscriber lifecycle
- A proven track record of growing an active, revenue generating subscriber base, including cross sell or base monetisation into an existing customer base
- Strong commercial and analytical capability, including pricing and margin modelling and business case development
- Working knowledge of South African telecoms regulation, including RICA, ICASA licence conditions, POPIA and consumer protection
