Summary: HERE Technologies is a location data and technology platform company. They are seeking a Data Science Intern to work on multidisciplinary teams and take ownership of the data science workflow including exploratory data analysis and model development. Responsibilities: - Continuously seek out best practices and develop skills - Work on multidisciplinary teams of data engineers, software engineers, data scientists, and business subject-matter experts to deliver complex projects on time and within budgets - Work with mentor to translate ambiguous and complex business problems into project charters clearly identifying technical risks and project scope - Take ownership for the data science workflow including exploratory data analysis, model development, and potentially deployment - Independently handle issues with minimal supervision, while working closely with mentor for more complex issues - Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in a program in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or related fields - Experience developing and testing machine learning or statistical projects, with strong background in supervised, unsupervised, semi-supervised and reinforcement learning algorithms and modelling - Strong background in Computer Vision including image/video processing, object detection, classification, and tracking.
