Job Description
Summary: Hendrick Motorsports is a leading automotive organization, and they are seeking an Automotive Intern to provide students with meaningful work experiences and personal development. The intern will assist management with process improvement, customer engagement projects, and various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Shadow management on general strategy of dealership
- Assist dealership focus team on process improvement and customer/employee engagement projects
- Completes special projects as directed by the General Manager
- Prepares correspondence, reports, and other documents as assigned
- Directs calls to the appropriate department or person
- Directs customers to the appropriate department or person
- Performs filing
- Operates office machines
- Maintains CSI at or above Company standards
- Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
- Participates in required training
- Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
- Follows Safeguards rules and regulations
- Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values
- Complies with Company policies and procedures
- Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- A desire to learn the automotive industry
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Valid Driver's License
- Basic Computer skills in order to utilize the company timekeeping system
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations
