The pricing supervisor is a crucial position to manage the quotation requests for HWL network. Responsible to analyze the quotation requirements, define the internal quotation and solution guidelines and to coordinate with internal stakeholders.

The pricing supervisor is a crucial position to manage the quotation requests for HWL network. Responsible to analyze the quotation requirements, define the internal quotation and solution guidelines and to coordinate with internal stakeholders.
Ensure complete and competitive pricing meeting customer requirements
On time and competitive rate submission with high quality
Support new pricing process, standards and quality
Assist pricing head in customer meetings/negotiations as required
Key Tasks
Regularly liaise with carriers to obtain updated rates and market information.
Maintain and update rates (both Local and PTP) in the quotation system and rate dashboard.
Provide recent market updates from carriers to the sales and operations teams.
Conduct profit margin analysis for improvement
Analyze and understand quotation request from internal requestors
Validate quotation request with requestors if any information missing or unclear
Check for completeness and correctness rate to meet customer requirements
Reviews and benchmark pricing received from product/Airlines/carriers to ensure competitive submissions
Fast turnaround time and complete response to requestors
Escalate in case issues cannot be resolved on time
Ensure timely, competitive and complete submission of rate request
Monitor and follow up on quotation status with requestors
Engage with respective stakeholders for win ratio improvement
Support agreed quotation process, data quality and compliance guidelines
Work with and keep updated with quotation relevant software and tools
Other tasks assigned by line manager
Skills and Competencies
Experience in managing quotations and RFQ’s from receiving till submission and follow-up
Ability to active engage with customer and internal stakeholders at different levels
Extensive knowledge in international air and sea freight forwarding business
Good project management and time management skills to stay on top of multiple deadlines for multiple requests in parallel
Good communication and interpersonal skills to properly engage with regional, country stakeholders and pricing teams of different cultural backgrounds
Strong analytical mind ideally paired with operational experience to analyze rate requirements and be able to quickly understand customer requirements
Ability to work under pressure to cope with periods of high workload and tight timelines
Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
Strong and enhanced user skills with Microsoft Excel (Pivot table, V/H-Lookup etc.)
Willingness to work overtime to meet deadlines when required
Educational Background / Work Experience
University / Bachelor’s degree in international logistics or freight forwarding apprenticeship
3-5 years work experience preferred in an international environment
Minimum 2 years of experience in sea and air freight pricing, RFQ/RFP management, quotations
Language Skills
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Other languages (written and spoken) beneficial
Computer Literacy
Microsoft Office
Microsoft Excel – advanced skills
KPI
Rate turn-around time (includes deadline and quality compliance)
Compliance of rate responses considering global pricing instructions
Decision making authority
- Decision authority as delegated by the direct manager in accordance with Hellmann regulations
