Job Description
UK&I Strategy Lead
Location: London - The Shard
Job Description
About the role:
Kraft Heinz UK&I is looking for an experienced Strategy Consultant/Strategic Leader with FMCG experience to lead our in-house Strategy Consulting team (5 people). This role sits within the UK&I business unit and reports to the UK&I CFO.
You’ll partner closely with senior stakeholders across the business, with regular interaction with the full UK&I Leadership Team (including the UK&I Managing Director) and engagement with the European & Pacific Markets leadership team.
Your core remit is to help achieve the UK&I long term strategy through leading the delivery of high-impact, in-house consulting projects that support that strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams.
Visa sponsorship is available for this role.
What you’ll do:
Act as a trusted strategy partner to the UKI and zone Leadership Teams, shaping the long-term direction of the UKI business.
Lead and project-manage major strategic initiatives that underpin the long-term UKI business unit strategy (in-house consulting model).
Work cross-functionally to diagnose problems, generate insights, and drive alignment on recommendations.
Typical project areas (often focused on growth priorities) include:
Brand strategy: assessing brand performance, defining priorities, and recommending initiatives to hit objectives
Foodservice/Away From Home strategy: identifying priority accounts and defining how to win with them
Benchmarking: industry and best-practice comparisons (“outside-in” perspective)
New market/space entry: evaluating opportunities and feasibility
UKI investment priorities: recommending where to allocate resources for maximum impact
Projects typically involve benchmarking and “outside-in” research, extensive quantitative and qualitative analysis, and translating findings into clear recommendations—often summarised into a small number of concise, senior-ready slides. You’ll also help influence teams to adopt and execute those recommendations.
What you’ll need
8–10+ years’ experience, including significant experience in strategy
Background in top-tier consulting and/or a major FMCG in a strategy, project management, or in-house consulting role
Strong strategic and commercial mindset
Ability to influence and operate credibly with senior leaders
Ability to structure ambiguous problems and turn imperfect data into clear, actionable recommendations
Highly analytical; comfortable working with large and messy datasets
Experience conducting stakeholder interviews and synthesising insights
Collaborative working style (“no ego”), strong interpersonal skills
Bachelor’s degree (minimum)
Important: We will not consider applicants without strategy experience in a major consultancy or FMCG environment.
