Job Description
Summary: Hedgeye Risk Management is a leading provider of actionable independent investment research and a premier online financial media company. They are seeking a driven and innovative Equity Research Analyst to join their Global Technology Research team, where the role involves integrating advanced data analysis with fundamental financial research to empower actionable insights for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Gather, assess, and analyze corporate financial statements, earnings releases, and other relevant data
- Develop real-time, value-added research reports and maintain existing research materials to enhance our industry expertise
- Create and manage dynamic financial models, incorporating advanced analytics as needed
- Stay informed on industry developments by participating in events, conference calls, and monitoring relevant trends
- Contribute to Hedgeye's digital media platforms, including web, mobile, video, and audio, to communicate insights to a broader audience
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality research
- Think creatively to design innovative solutions, enhance processes, and explore new approaches to data-driven research
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve workflows, generate differentiated insights, and challenge conventional thinking
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Experience within financial services or research
- Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency
- Ability to interpret financial and market data with a high degree of accuracy and intellectual rigor
- Experience in financial modeling and working with complex datasets
- Working knowledge of large language models (LLMs), including the ability to apply them to streamline research workflows, analyze large volumes of unstructured data, and generate differentiated investment insights
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts and research findings effectively
- Demonstrated enthusiasm, curiosity, and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving
- Ability to think independently and approach challenges creatively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional languages, such as Mandarin Chinese a plus
Required Skills: Financial modeling, Data analysis, Excel proficiency
Important Skills: Large language models, Financial services experience
Nice-to-Have Skills: Curiosity, Mandarin Chinese
