Summary: Hearst Magazines is one of the world’s largest publishers of monthly magazines, and they are seeking a Visual Group Intern to support photo production and creative operations. The role involves assisting Visual Editors with tasks related to photo shoots, research, and digital asset management. Responsibilities: - Support Visual Editors with day-to-day administrative and organizational tasks - Assist with photo shoot production, including sourcing props and materials - Provide production assistant support on set during photo shoots - Research photography for both print and digital platforms - Track and enter photo and production credits with accuracy - Assist with image processing and digital asset management, including metadata, file organization, and archiving - Prepare PDFs and support asset distribution across teams - Help maintain production documentation including invoices, estimates, contracts, call sheets, and insurance materials Required Qualifications: - Passion for photography, media, and visual storytelling - Highly organized with strong attention to detail - Proactive, solutions-oriented, and eager to learn in a collaborative environment - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-brand setting - Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams - Interest in photo production, visual editing, or creative operations Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with digital asset management or creative tools is a plus Required Skills: Photography, Visual storytelling Important Skills: Digital asset management, Creative tools
